Identical Strangers

South Bronx special education teacher, Joseph Martino, has spent years keeping his distance from his father, Carlo — a man everyone on the block respects but no one – including Joe – fully knows or understands.

When Carlo suffers a sudden heart attack, Joe is pulled back into his orbit, just as Joe's effort to help a troubled student spirals into crisis.

While in his father's hospital room, Joe deals with his hardest memories and finally uncovers the truth Carlo spent a lifetime hiding — and learns that the childhood he thought he understood wasn’t quite what it seemed.
