Shared Risk

Domenic Lombardi survived Viet Nam, but he never really came home. Now a mechanic in the Bronx, he lives quietly on the edges of a neighborhood run by old-world wiseguys — playing cards, paying his vig — trying to stay out of the life that his father was a major player in.

When a mob-run poker game erupts into a bloodbath, Domenic finds himself the lone survivor. Every side of the neighborhood — gangsters, cops, families — all want to know why.

As detectives dig for answers and old debts come due, Domenic is forced to confront the war he never left behind, the father he never made peace with, and a code called "shared risk" that's about to catch up with everyone involved.
